zero waste potato crisps

IMG_2928when we were at aunt’s house we made potato crisps. it’s a big problem for us, we love crisps, but unless you make your own you can’t buy those zero waste. we try to avoid crisps with palm oil and buy organic crisps when available, but it still creates a lot of waste(we can’t even recycle the packaging)🥔

all you need –

  • potatoes
  • oil
  • salt
  • pepper

preheat oven to around 205°C.
clean and peel the potatoes, i only used 2 or 3 potatoes.
slice them thin on veggie slicer or however.
in a bowl mix potatoes slices with a bit of oil, salt, pepper and any other spices you like.
spread them on baking sheets. you can use the baking sheets again, well we did because nothing stuck to it.
bake about 30 mins, rotating the pans.
take them out, let them harden and cool down a bit and voila zero waste potato crisps.

we are back in our apartment and i really want our place to finished, i want an oven.
the crisps were super good, to be honest the way i made them some places were a little bit soft, but we still liked them, next time we tried making them, we left them in a bit too long and burned them. ups.

ps. sorry once again for disappearing, had a very bad depression break down. but i’m feeling better today and new eco thing happening in my life that i must share ✨
